A couple years ago I bought a banjo, of course when it came home, I plucked on it a little and got discouraged, especially since it has that strange short 5th string, so it got put down and ignored. Fortunately this year I picked it back up and have been slowly learning to play clawhammer style. A difficult method to learn, especially if you are used to playing guitar, but since I am a fan of those old songs, and I am not a fan of most bluegrass,
clawhammer it is.
I now an entire two songs under my belt! Now learning to sing at the same time is another challenge!
