Timber Timber is the spellbinding, bluesy-folk-pop child of guitarist and vocalist Taylor Kirk from Ontario. Kirk lyrics make for a paradoxical mix of occult, horror and serene beauty. I saw these guys a while back at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard, Wa. It was their first performing in the US. It was a small haunting show in which Timber Timbre did more than perform, they summoned spirits and released them upon the unsuspecting audience in an resonant atmosphere. Kirk's guitar may well have been a Ouija board. They are not to be missed.
